Full line-up of pro dancers for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing has returned for its 20th series as fans prepare to watch a whole host of celebrities give dancing a go.

This season sees a fresh batch of celebrities donning their dance shoes, with a range of famous faces set to dazzle alongside their professional dance partner.

There will be some Strictly favourites returning to train up the celebrities, alongside some fresh new professional dancers from across the globe.

Professional Strictly dancers for 2022

This year, four new world class dancers complete the professional troupe. The new professional dancers are:

Vito Coppola

11-time Latin American Champion Vito Coppola began dancing at the age of six. The Italian’s career highlights include being a three-time World Championship finalist and European Cup Winner. In 2021 he left the world of competition to join Ballando con le Stelle, the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing – where he won first place.

Carlos Gu

Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu has been described as a dancer at the very top of his game. He is a multiple world semi-finalist and came third at the German Open Championship. With his wealth of experience in ballroom, ballet and contemporary dance, Carlos brings a wealth of dance knowledge to the Strictly ballroom.

Lauren Oakley

Birmingham-born Lauren Oakley started dancing at just two years old and began competing soon after. She was crowned Under-21 British National Champion before exploring a career on stage. Lauren has since toured all over the world and most recently has been leading lady to Giovanni Pernice and Anton Du Beke in their national tours.

Michelle Tsiakkas

Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas first started as a child in Cyprus. She quickly became an undefeated champion, winning national titles from 2001 to 2011 before moving to London to study. While in the UK she continued to compete, representing England at major international championships.
